Tillie Mitchell, MSW, LCSW, RPT™

Tillie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in American Sign Language at Gardner-Webb University. Her Master of Social Work degree was completed at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. 

 

She works primarily with children ages 0-12 utilizing infant mental health, child-centered play therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches. Tillie believes that the counseling process should be a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing and empowerment.

 

She has completed the Level 1 Theraplay training and has graduated the accredited C.A.S.E Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) certificate program. 

 

Tillie also serves as Art of Therapy Center's Infant Mental Health Director.
