Alexis McGann

Alexis is a clinical intern who is currently working towards a Masters of Christian Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is seeing children, adolescents, and adults in the Audrey and Kings Mountain offices.

Alexis firmly believes that in life we are not meant to journey alone and she places a heavy emphasis on the value of the therapeutic relationship. In sessions with adults and adolescents she primarily relies on a Person-Center approach which allows clients to process attitudes, beliefs, and experiences in an empathetic, safe, and supportive environment. When working with children ages 5-10, Alexis provides clients with the opportunity to use play as a way to communicate their inner thoughts and emotions. She also provides on-going parent appointments to meet individually with caregivers to discuss progress, review goals, and provide support.
